NEO is a blockchain platform and cryptocurrency which enables the development of digital assets and smart contracts. Launched in 2014, NEO was developed by Da Hongfei and Erik Zhang. NEO uses two different tokens: NEO, which represents ownership of the NEO blockchain, and GAS, which is used to pay for transaction fees on the blockchain.
