TrueUSD is one of the Trust Token's projects, a stablecoin tied to the value of USD 1:1. Stablecoins found significant use on crypto exchanges and in DeFi as a stand-in for fiat currencies. TUSD is issued on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Avalanche, and Tron.
Some stablecoins are centralized and issued by a company which mints tokens so that the total supply would be equal to the reserves. However, it requires trust in the company, to the skepticism of the crypto community. Trust Tokens attempts to solve this problem by providing real-time information on the TUSD reserves on the official website, as well as regular attestations. As of the time of writing, TUSD market cap and circulating supply is around $898 million USD, with the bulk of it ($570) being in Ethereum.
